Cole (right elbow discomfort) faced hitters Tuesday for the first time since his injury, throwing 20 pitches of live batting practice at Yankee Stadium.

LeMahieu (non-displaced fracture of right foot) continued his rehab assignment with High-A Hudson Valley on Tuesday. According to manager Aaron Boone, the Yankees are now targeting a return for LeMahieu during the Yankees' May 28-30 series against the Angels in Anaheim. More >

Turner (left hamstring strain) took batting practice on the field and ran at about 80% ahead of Tuesday's game. More >

Bogaerts exited Game 1 of Monday’s split doubleheader against the Braves, a 6-5 victory, with mild inflammation in his left shoulder. He was out of the lineup for Game 2 on Monday and remained out Tuesday. More >

Thomas (left MCL strain) played his first rehab game with Double-A Harrisburg on Tuesday. More >

Zach Eflin, Ryan Pepiot and Jeffrey Springs, Rays

Eflin landed on the 15-day IL prior to Monday's game with lower back inflammation. Manager Kevin Cash said Eflin should be cleared in 2-4 weeks, depending on his symptoms. More >

Pepiot (lower left leg contusion) is expected to make his first start off the injured list on Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Springs (Tommy John surgery) made his first rehab assignment in a Rookie-level Florida Complex League game on Monday. He is expected to make one more appearance in the FCL before moving on to Triple-A Durham. More >

While Polanco (right hamstring tightness) was out of the lineup Tuesday for the seventh straight game. More >

José Urquidy and Luis Garcia, Astros

Urquidy (right forearm strain) will make one more rehab start with Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday, which could be his final rehab outing before rejoining the Astros' rotation for the first time in 2024.

Senga (right posterior shoulder capsule strain) was scheduled to throw a bullpen session Sunday but postponed it due to a bout of tightness he began feeling in his right triceps. The Mets don't consider the issue serious and expect Senga to throw a bullpen by the end of the week. More >

Garrett Whitlock, Red Sox

Whitlock, currently on the 15-day IL with a left oblique strain, has a partially torn right UCL and could need surgery, manager Alex Cora said Monday. The right-hander first experienced elbow soreness on Thursday after pitching 4 2/3 innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday. Whitlock will see a doctor in Birmingham, Ala., later this week. More >

Joe Ross and Rhys Hoskins, Brewers

Ross, who threw 15 pitches in the first inning of Monday's series opener against the Marlins, did not return to the mound for the second inning due to a low back strain. He was placed on the 15-day IL on Tuesday. More >

Hoskins (right hamstring strain) began a running progression on Monday. The expectation, per manager Pat Murphy, is for Hoskins to start hitting by the end of the week. More >

Blake Snell and Alex Cobb, Giants

Manager Bob Melvin said Snell is on track to return to the Giants' rotation this week, possibly as soon as Wednesday at Pittsburgh. Snell has been out since April 19 due to a left adductor strain, but he's looked dominant in his two rehab starts, tossing nine hitless innings with 17 strikeouts in two appearances between Single-A San Jose and Triple-A Sacramento.

Cobb was progressing well in his rehab from offseason hip surgery, but he hit another setback when he felt mild shoulder irritation before throwing a bullpen session on April 16. Cobb attempted to resume throwing after that, but he was shut down again after continuing to experience soreness in his shoulder. More >

Edward Cabrera, Marlins

According to manager Skip Schumaker, the club is still evaluating Cabrera (right shoulder impingement) after he threw a bullpen in Jupiter, Fla., on Friday. Cabrera is with the team in Miami. More >

Anthony Rendon, Chase Silseth and Brandon Drury, Angels

Rendon, who has been out since April 20 with a high-grade partial tear of his left hamstring, said Monday he's been cleared to walk on a treadmill but not for any baseball activities.

Silseth (right elbow inflammation) threw 25-pitch bullpen sessions on Friday and Monday.

Thomas (left hamstring strain) has started doing pool running and taking live at-bats, manager Torey Lovullo said Monday. He will require a Minor League rehab assignment before rejoining the D-backs. More >

Carrasco was scratched from his start on Wednesday against the Mets and placed on the injured list with an acute neck spasm. More >

Kwan (left hamstring strain) has been asymptomatic while running and taking batting practice on the field. As long as that continues, Guardians president of baseball operations Chris Antonetti said the hope is that Kwan could begin his rehab assignment in seven to 10 days. More >
