Earned the organization’s Tom Grieve Minor League Player of the Year Award in his first season in the Texas system after slashing .327/.401/.542/.943 (132-404) with a career-high 20 HR and 85 RBI across 110 games with Hickory (A+) and Down East (A)…was the only player in the minor leagues to post 20+ doubles (21), home runs (20), and stolen bases (25), and fewer than 80 strikeouts (73)…his .327 BA ranked 9th in the minor leagues (min. 300 AB)…was tabbed by Baseball America as the 6th-best prospect in the Low-A East after batting .301 with 10 HR and 53 RBI in 73 G for Down East, earning MiLB Low-A East All-Star honors…following a mid-season promotion to Hickory on 8/3, he hit .372 with 10 home runs and 32 RBI, ranking among High-A East leaders (min. 100 AB) over that span in BA (2nd), OPS (2nd), HR (T4th), RBI (T4th), and XBH (T5th, 20)…after the season, he was among a group of prospects that participated in a hitter’s camp at the club’s Arizona facility in December, working with new Major League hitting coaches Donnie Ecker and Tim Hyers...also attended a player development seminar for a select group of top Texas prospects at Globe Life Field in January.
