Cole (right elbow discomfort) will make his first rehab start with Double-A Somerset on Tuesday, per manager Aaron Boone. More >

Blake Snell and Thairo Estrada, Giants

Snell exited Sunday's start against the Yankees with an apparent injury in the middle of an at-bat in the top of the fifth inning. The potential injury was not immediately announced, but Snell appeared to grab at his left upper thigh/groin area before exiting. He previously spent a little more than a month on the 15-day injured list with a left adductor strain. More >

Estrada was out of the Giants' starting lineup in back-to-back games after jamming his right thumb while sliding into second base on Friday. More >

Max Scherzer, Jon Gray and Tyler Mahle, Rangers

Scherzer (herniated disk and right thumb soreness) threw about 25 pitches in a bullpen session on Saturday and reported feeling none of the nerve pain that has held up his rehab process.

Gray (mild right groin strain) and Mahle (right UCL repair surgery) are both expected to face live hitters on Monday. More >

Royce Lewis, Twins

If all goes well, Lewis (severe right quad strain), who is scheduled to play third base for Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday, could join the Twins as soon as their Tuesday series opener against the Yankees. More >

Luis Arraez, Joe Musgrove and Yu Darvish, Padres

Arraez left Sunday's game in the sixth inning after being thrown out at second base in the fifth. Arraez reached for the bag while being tagged and stayed down for a few minutes while holding his shoulder. He stayed in the game temporarily, but was replaced in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Musgrove (right elbow inflammation) and Darvish (left groin strain) were both placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday. More >

Max Muncy and Bobby Miller, Dodgers

Muncy (right oblique strain) started to do some running around the bases during the last homestand, but he reported some discomfort in his right oblique. The Dodgers were hopeful Muncy wouldn’t have to miss much time, but he’ll be sidelined for at least a couple more weeks, according to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts.

Miller (right shoulder inflammation) made his second rehab start with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday, allowing four runs on five hits, a walk and a hit-by-pitch in 3 1/3 innings while building up to 65 pitches. The plan is for Miller to follow up with a start with Triple-A Oklahoma City, after which the Dodgers will evaluate his readiness to be activated. More >

John Means, Tyler Wells and Jorge Mateo, Orioles

Both Means and Wells will require UCL surgery and are expected to miss the remainder of the season, per general manager Mike Elias. It is unclear whether either pitcher will need to undergo Tommy John surgery. More >

Mateo left Sunday's game against the Rays after being accidentally hit on the back of the head in the on-deck circle. He later entered concussion protocol and is scheduled to undergo further testing. More >

Vaughn Grissom, Red Sox

Grissom, who missed the first 32 games of the season with a left hamstring strain, suffered a right hamstring strain during Saturday's game against the Tigers. He was placed on the 10-day IL Sunday. More >

Andrew Benintendi, Andrew Vaughn and Luis Robert Jr., White Sox

Benintendi was placed on the 10-day IL Sunday with left Achilles tendinitis.

Vaughn (left ring finger sprain) remained out of the lineup Saturday. He suffered his injury sliding into third during advancement on a wild pitch against the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Robert (right hip flexor strain), who is currently on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte, could return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. More >

Brandon Marsh, Ranger Suárez and Trea Turner, Phillies

Marsh exited Sunday night's game against the Cardinals in the eighth inning due to a right hamstring strain he sustained while running the bases. The club said he would undergo further evaluation.

Suárez left Saturday's game against the Cardinals in the second inning after being hit with a 106.1 mph line drive off the bat of Alec Burleson. X-rays on the hand came back negative. More >

Turner (left hamstring strain) has resumed taking ground balls and did some "light jogging" prior to Friday's game, but manager Rob Thomson said there is no timetable for when Turner might start running the bases. More >

Michael Wacha, Kyle Isbel and Brady Singer, Royals

Wacha, who was hit in the middle of his left foot by a comebacker during the first inning of Friday's 11-8 loss to the Padres, has a small, non-displaced fracture, per manager Matt Quatraro. He was placed on the 15-day IL Sunday.

Eight days after he fouled a ball off his face and suffered small facial fractures and bruising, Isbel was hit with another blow Sunday when Bobby Witt Jr.'s knee collided with the side of Isbel’s face in the top of the fifth inning against the Padres. After being shaken up for a few minutes, Isbel stayed in the game but was replaced in the following inning.

Singer was scratched from his scheduled Thursday start against the Twins due to an illness. He could return to the rotation on Wednesday in Cleveland. More >

CJ Abrams and Jacob Young, Nationals

Abrams was initially listed in the Nationals’ lineup on Sunday, but was a late scratch for the second day in a row. Manager Dave Martinez said pregame that Abrams was feeling better after hurting his left shoulder diving for a ball on Friday.

After leaving the Nationals’ game on Saturday with a swollen finger on his right hand, Young remained out of the Nationals’ lineup on Sunday. Martinez said that X-rays on the hand came back negative, but that there’s some inflammation. More >

Sixto Sánchez, Marlins

Sánchez was placed on the 15-day IL Sunday with right shoulder inflammation. More >

Jordan Romano and Alek Manoah, Blue Jays

Romano was placed on the 15-day injured list with right elbow inflammation on Saturday. An MRI exam showed no structural damage. More >

Manoah was placed on the 15-day IL with a right UCL sprain on Friday. Per manager John Schneider, the team does not yet know the degree of the injury and Manoah will seek a second opinion in the coming days. More >

Zac Gallen, D-backs

Gallen had to exit his start against the Mets at Citi Field on Thursday after one batter and was diagnosed with a Grade 1 right hamstring strain. On Friday, he was placed on the 15-day injured list. More >

Kerry Carpenter and Shelby Miller, Tigers

On Friday, the Tigers updated the status of Carpenter’s injury from lumbar spine inflammation to lumbar spine stress fracture. On Saturday, manager A.J. Hinch explained that due to variables with this injury, there was no clear sign of when the outfielder might return.

Rehabbing from right ulnar nerve inflammation, Miller made his second appearance with Triple-A Toledo on Friday night. The right-hander came on in the sixth inning and allowed just one hit in 1 1/3 innings of work. Miller also struck out two of the five batters he faced. More >

Edwin Díaz and Francisco Alvarez, Mets

Díaz was placed on the 15-day IL Wednesday with a right shoulder impingement. More >

Alvarez (left thumb surgery) homered in his first game of a Minor League rehab assignment on Thursday for Double-A Binghamton. More >

Ronald Acuña Jr., Braves

Acuña will undergo surgery to repair his torn left ACL on Tuesday and miss the remainder of the 2024 season. More >

Gabe Speier, Mariners

Speier was placed on the 15-day IL on Saturday with a left rotator cuff strain. More >

Nolan Schanuel, Angels

Schanuel was out of the lineup Saturday and Sunday in Seattle with left thumb soreness after being scratched from Friday's lineup with the same ailment. More >

Cristian Javier, José Urquidy and Luis Garcia, Astros

Javier and Urquidy, each dealing with right forearm discomfort, are "both waiting to hear from the doctors" on second opinions regarding their injuries, manager Joe Espada said on Friday.

Garcia (Tommy John surgery) said he felt "great" after throwing a 20-pitch live batting practice session at Minute Maid Park on Friday. He will travel to the club's Spring Training complex in West Palm Beach, Fla., and throw two or three more live BP sessions before potentially going out on a Minor League rehab assignment. More >

Josh Lowe, Zach Eflin and Colin Poche, Rays

Lowe (right oblique strain) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on Friday. Manager Kevin Cash said the Rays were "very encouraged" by Lowe's first two rehab games and hope to have Lowe back in their lineup on Tuesday in Miami.

Eflin (lower back inflammation) threw a 40-pitch bullpen session consisting of two simulated innings on Sunday in Baltimore. Eflin said he felt "great" and declared himself "ready to go." The Rays have not yet decided when he will rejoin the rotation, but he could start as soon as Wednesday in Miami.

Poche (mid-back tightness) felt good after throwing a 15-pitch bullpen session on May 22, and he is scheduled to join Triple-A Durham for a Minor League rehab stint on Sunday. More >
