Split the season between Kansas City and Miami, while also playing with the Marlins' Triple-A club in New Orleans…Hit a combined .160 (8-for-50) with no home runs or RBI in 24 games at the major league level... Started the season with the Royals after making his third consecutive Opening Day roster...Appeared in six games with Kansas City and hit .176 (3-for-17) before the club designated him for assignment on 5/10... Christian was named Omaha (AAA) Player of the Year by the Royals organization, spending the entire year with the Storm Chasers... Ranked eighth in the Pacific Coast League with a career-high 140 hits...also set career highs in games (131), at bats(512), runs scored (72), homers (12) and total bases (194)... Helped lead Omaha to PCL and Triple-A Championships, going 6-for-27 (.222) with two doubles, a homer and four runs scored in the postseason... Following the season, hit .284 (25-for-88) for Ponce in the Puerto Rican Winter League.
