Cloudy days don't exist for the Rays. Tropicana Field, which has hosted the team since its inception in 1998, is currently Major League Baseball's only domed stadium without a retractable roof.
Featuring a wealth of dining and entertainment options under its unique slanted roof, The Trop -- as it's often called -- has brought a new type of baseball experience to the league. Interactive experiences abound on Left Field Street, Right Field Street or Center Field Street.
It has also brought new ground rules. The always intriguing catwalks can turn an ordinary looking fly ball into an adventure, or even a home run.
- The Rays Touch Tank: Beyond the right-field wall, you can get up close and personal with the franchise's original namesakes. About 30 cownose rays live in a 10,000-gallon tank overlooking the field.
- Local beer: Taste some craft and local brews at the Everglades Brewhouse, which is also known for its enormous burgers.
