A Brewers fan explained why he threw out the first pitch in a Yasiel Puig jersey

TJ Marini figures he owns the first Brewers jersey with Yasiel Puig's name and No. 66 stitched across the back, or the last.
Either way, it made the longtime Brewers fan a popular man at Miller Park on Friday.
"People all think it's real," Marini said after wearing his pinstriped Puig jersey to throw a ceremonial first pitch before the Brewers-Reds game.
"They're like, 'Did that happen this morning?' I'm like, 'Nah, I'm either way ahead of the times or way behind the times.'"
On the front, Marini's jersey looked like just another run-of-the-mill(er) Brewers jersey. Nothing fancy:

But on the back? Well ...

Puig nearly became a Brewer in August, when the Brewers and Dodgers discussed a trade that would have sent Ryan Braun to L.A. for the Cuban-born outfielder, plus prospects and perhaps pitcher Brandon McCarthy.
In the end, the sides ran out of time.
Marini, who lives with his family in nearby Mequon, Wis., had the jersey made in the team store at Miller Park, where he said employees enjoyed the gag. He won the right to throw one of Friday's ceremonial pitches at an auction supporting cerebral palsy research.
Does his jersey indicate he endorses the idea of trading Braun? "I don't know," Marini said. "I would struggle to not have No. 8 on our team, and he was part of this [proposed trade for Puig]. But it would be fun to see Yasiel Puig in a Brewers jersey.
"I like [the jersey] either way. It's a great move to have it and it's going to be a fun time. If it comes to fruition, I'm going to be the first in town to have the jersey."
And if the trade never happens? "Then I'll be the last in town to have the jersey," he said.
