A young fan won an ICEE chugging contest, but he paid the price of a brain freeze

The drive and determination to out-do and outlast one's opponent sits at the core of athletic competition. One may not naturally think of a between-innings ICEE Chugging Contest as an athletic pursuit, but this young fan showed that it is as much a challenge of strength, endurance and pain tolerance as any other in the realm of athletics.

Like the fable of the tortoise and the hare, this kid defeated his opponent not on raw chugging ability, but on his perseverance when the going got tough. Both encountered the unpleasant spectre of a brain freeze, but only one embraced the discomfort for the glory of victory. And glory he received.
