Ben Gamel's center-field homer brought a fan's hat down with it

During the bottom of the seventh in the Mariners' 5-4 win over the Tigers on Tuesday, Ben Gamel connected on a pitch from Daniel Stumpf to deep center, a game-tying solo blast. His drive sailed over the wall, just out of reach of the fans reaching for it from the right-center-field bleachers. So, one fan tried to use his hat to make the catch.
To be blunt, it didn't work:

Well, the hat itself almost made the catch, but Gamel hit the ball so hard that it took the hat down with it.
Thankfully, the attendants at Safeco Field were kind enough to make sure that he got his hat back.
