All of your favorite Mario Kart characters were represented for the Braves' rookie dress-up day

Monday's doubleheader with the Mets at Citi Field marked the start of the Braves' final road trip of the 2017 season, so you know what that means: Rookie dress-up day. 
And, as seen in the clip atop this post, it was veteran reliever Jim Johnson who was struck with the idea for their theme: Mario Kart, everybody's favorite racing video game that has stood the test of time and is still a popular clubhouse entertainment option throughout MLB. 
Whether walking through the clubhouse concourse or filing into their seats on the airplane, the Braves' young players definitely seemed amused by it all:

And they added some additional personal flair to their outfits, too:

Superheroes, Game of Thrones characters, and now beloved video game racers ... we've seen some inspired choices over the past week or so!
