Two days after his glove's funeral, Carlos Beltran made a running catch and received an ovation

What is dead can never die. Carlos Beltran proved that as, just two days after his glove was given a funeral, Beltran was back in the outfield for the first time since May 16. 

Taking left field for Wednesday's afternoon tilt with the Mariners, Beltran was quickly put to work as the baseball gods cared not for his outfield sabbatical. On just the second pitch of the game, Jean Segura hit a liner to left-center that Beltran smoothly gloved. Naturally, this one had a Statcast-measured 76 percent catch percentage, so it was also the veteran's hardest catch he's made this year. 
Following that kind of baseball magic, he obviously deserved an ovation from his teammates:
