Details and photos from Justin Verlander and Kate Upton's beautiful wedding are finally available

The offseason has been filled with nuptials from some of our favorite players: Mike Trout walked down the aisle on Saturday, Elvis Andrus' destination wedding in the Dominican Republic was just a few weeks ago and Edwin Encarnación also say his "I Do's" recently. But, just after the Astros won the World Series, we saw one of the most anticipated weddings of the year: Justin Verlander exchanged vows with supermodel Kate Upton.
And details of their special day are now available for your viewing and reading pleasure.

The wedding (which they almost missed) took place in Italy, one of the first places they vacationed together. Naturally, the thought of having a wedding in Italy was at the top of their priority list.

"It was really important to Justin and me that it feel like we were on vacation with our closest friends and family," Upton told Vogue. "We set up an entire afternoon dedicated to interactive games, which we called the Uplander Olympics. … The games included a pingpong tournament, cornhole, a football toss, relay races and an epic water balloon fight!"
The "secret garden" vibe consumed the wedding at the Rosewood resort, which Upton said was the first the property had ever held. She also revealed that she wore a custom-made Valentino dress for the ceremony.
Following the vows, Upton surprised Verlander with a firework show during the cutting of the cake. The couple danced the night away before moving to a nearby villa for some late-night karaoke -- all in the same week Verlander and the Astros won the World Series.
Sounds like the perfect wedding.
