While there have been 296 no-hitters in Major League history, by the end of the 2016 season the big leagues had seen just 81 immmaculate innings. It's one of the rarest feats in baseball, and with good reason: It's really, really hard to strike out three consecutive professional hitters on three pitches each!
Of course, you wouldn't know that from looking at the last few months. During Wednesday night's 8-2 win over the Rays, Red Sox starter Rick Porcello needed just nine pitches to notch three K's in the fifth inning -- the eighth immaculate inning of 2017, setting a new single-season record.
And now, to properly celebrate this new Age of the Strikeout, it's time to revisit each one of them: Click play on the video above to watch every single pitch from every single immaculate inning this season. A couple of our personal favorites? How about this fastball from Max Scherzer back on May 14 against the Phillies:

Or this physics-melting Porcello curve:

Here's to many, many more strikeouts to come.
