Nearly six years into Mike Trout's Major League career, there are a lot of things one could say about him. He's a five-time All-Star, two-time MVP and has led the American League in runs, walks, strikeouts, OBP, SLG, OPS and even stolen bases.
However, were we forced to nail down one iconic moment of Trout's career, it would be from this day in his first full season in the Major Leagues. Playing on the road against the Orioles, Trout defied gravity to rob J.J. Hardy of a home run.

Though Trout has never won a Gold Glove for his work in the field -- the competition among center fielders is fierce -- his defense has never been considered anything less than excellent. That reputation may well have been solidified five years ago today.
