It's time for the most drastic of actions: We must cap home runs

Welcome to In Short Order, a weekly look at all the baseball that I like and can't stop obsessing over. We'll mostly live at the edges of the game; at the intersection of the weird, the fun and the esoteric. Oh yeah, and hair.
Home runs continue to skyrocket across the game of baseball and, like a rampaging 200-foot-tall monster that emerged from the sea, there seems to be nothing that can stop them. As evidenced by the All-Star Game, good pitching is no deterrent as 98-something mph fastballs were swatted out of Nationals Park as if it was the simplest thing to do in the world.
