The everyday highlight reel that is Javier Báez added another installment to its catalog of impressive acts in Sunday's NLCS Game 2 between the Dodgers and Cubs.
In the sixth inning, the Dodgers were trying to mount a one-out rally with runners on first and second and Carl Edwards Jr. on the mound. Joc Pederson hit a soft liner in Baez's general direction. Instead of catching the ball, however, Baez let it drop and fired to second for the forceout before Adrián González was tagged out in a rundown between second and third:

Just like that, rally quashed and two outs turned for the price of one.
After returning to the dugout, Baez couldn't help but wink to the camera after that play:

While Baez has made a name for himself lately with gum-saving plays and steals of home, it was his decision not to make a catch this time that made all the difference.
With the series tied, 1-1, the NLCS now shifts over to Dodger Stadium. Tune in to FS1 on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET for Game 3
