Watch in wonder as Javier Baez turns a shoestring throw into an effortless double play

There's been no end to the compelling narratives in the 2016 postseason. The Cubs' battle against the mysterious forces of even-year magic, for example. Or Clayton Kershaw: Shutdown Reliever. And, last but not least, Javier Baez's quest to shatter every existing law of physics.
Already this October, we've seen him make barehanded plays out of nowhere, turn a line drive into a sneaky double play and slap down too many preposterous tags to count. Not even his own gum was safe. Then, during Chicago's 9-3 win in Game 6 on Tuesday, we were treated to his latest trick: turning a shoestring throw from Addison Russell into an impossibly smooth double play to get out of the eighth inning.

Luckily, we don't have to say goodbye to Baez's wizardry just yet -- the Cubs stayed alive with a big win in Cleveland, which means it's time for Game 7 with everything on the line on Wednesday night (7:30 p.m. ET air time on FOX I 8 ET game time).
