Twins prospect Alex Kirilloff had himself a nice Futures Game, going 2-for-2 with a run scored in Team USA's offense-laden 10-6 victory over Team World. The 20-year-old is also having a stellar overall season, hitting .322 with 14 home runs in 87 games across two levels.
Kirilloff grew up just outside of Pittsburgh, and like many Pittsburgh natives who love baseball, he has a very fond memory of the 2013 NL Wild Card Game when the Pirates defeated the Reds to advance to the NLDS -- and he wasn't just watching on TV. Kirilloff, then in high school, was at PNC Park taunting opposing pitcher Johnny Cueto with the rest of the Pirates fans.
