Marcos Molina showed off his defensive skills by somehow catching a ball that bounced off a catcher's leg

That is correct. On Monday you did witness a shirtless media session compliments of Mets starter Noah Syndergaard. This was following a stellar performance for his first outing of the spring. And it seemed the good vibes were carried into Tuesday's game despite a rain delay.
Following the weather break during the Astros-Mets game, Marcos Molina (with the help of some catcher's gear) used some cat-like reflexes to make this impressive play:

This was on the first pitch coming back from the delay, so it appeared his reflexes were unaffected. 
Those are some nice moves, Molina -- and shoutout to the catcher for the assist.
