The Nats' Racing Presidents battled some Premier League mascots in a heavyweight athletic competition

The Nationals finished their 2018 home schedule with a 9-3 win over the Marlins on Wednesday before heading to Colorado to finish the campaign with a weekend set against the Rockies. 
With no more games coming up at Nationals Park, then, what were the Racing Presidents -- George (Washington), Abe (Lincoln), Teddy (Roosevelt) and Tom (Jefferson) -- supposed to do now?
You guessed it: Engage in a heated athletic competition with a group of English Premier League mascots. This epic head-to-head went down on Friday at Ryan Zimmerman Field, where the mascots exchanged lessons about their respective sports -- and the event definitely delivered. 

There was kickball:

A soccer showdown, penalty-kick style:

And, naturally, a foot race ... won by Filbert Fox of Leicester City FC:

While they clearly left it all on the field, sportsmanship was the name of the game:
