Glenn Frey once called a Dodgers game (and a Pedro Guerrero homer) alongside Vin Scully

Eagles guitarist and founding member Glenn Frey passed away at the age of 67 on Monday. Frey had an enormously successful music career -- recording 24 Billboard Top 40 hits (with both The Eagles and as a solo artist), getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, winning six Grammy Awards and providing the perfect soundtrack to the great Mets teams of the mid-to-late 1980s:

But back in 1985, Frey admitted something we've all thought about at some point in our lives: That he would love to be a baseball broadcaster. And on June 23, 1985, during a game between the Dodgers and Astros, he got his opportunity (alongside Vin Scully, no less). Sporting News' Jason Foster posted a snippet of Frey calling a Pedro Guerrero home run and it is quite excellent: 

A life that includes being in one of the greatest rock bands/greatest baseball broadcasting booths is a pretty good life.
