The Twins are hosting 'Big Sexy Night' -- yes, in honor of Bartolo Colon

To have Bartolo Colon on your team means one thing: Lots of smiling. OK, it also means a lot of strikes, considering how he peppers the strike zone with well-located fastballs, too. And don't forget the very rare, but supremely rewarding dinger sessions
The Twins, with this abundance of smiling and strikes on their roster, entered Friday's game with the Royals with a one-game lead over the Angels in the back-and-forth American League Wild Card race
And in an obvious effort to celebrate all things Bartolo, the Twins announced that Friday, Sept. 15, will be "Big Sexy Night" at Target Field for their game against the Blue Jays. No, seriously, they're offering a special ticket package and commemorative 'Big Sexy' T-shirt that is obviously the must-have clothing item of the fall:

Twins manager Paul Molitor was asked about this announcement, and said there's a chance Colon's scheduled start against Toronto could be pushed back from Friday to the following day, which of course would mean no Colon on the mound on "Big Sexy Night."
"The [marketing department] asked me about that and I told him he'd be pitching Sunday and the next start is yet to be finalized," Molitor told MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger with a smile, adding, "They kind of run the show more than anybody around here, I know that."
If only everybody, everywhere, could be in attendance for "Big Sexy Night." For those of us unable to make it, at least we can all enjoy the smiles.
