This fan was betrayed by his seat while trying to catch a foul ball

While you might think chairs are there to cushion your rear, there are a number of studies pointing to how deadly sitting can be. But what happens when the seat ... attacks? 
That's what befell this unfortunate Mets fan during Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Giants. When Justin Ruggiano hit a foul ball in the top of the ninth, this fan rose from his seat to go for the ball. That's when disaster struck: 

We've all been there -- whether we've tripped over a seat, stubbed a toe into the legs, or were betrayed by a shattering seat during Thanksgiving dinner. 
Fortunately, despite some back soreness, this fan lived to fight against the chair revolution for another day.
