Matt Duffy used his entire body to make sure this popup would never, ever touch the ground

When you were a kid, did you ever play that game where you had to keep a balloon from touching the ground? If it did, maybe it would spontaneously combust, or maybe it would rip open the fabric between dimensions and release the old gods. That's why you had to play ferociously -- who knew what would happen?
We bet Matt Duffy was pretty good at that game, based on the way he reacted to a Manny Machado popup during Monday's 7-3 loss to the Orioles. The floor may be lava, but Duffy is not letting that ball melt:

It was very noble of Duffy to sacrifice his body to the lava/old gods to make this play. This is what he looks like now:
