Before the Mets and Giants squared off in the NL Wild Card Game, New York mayor Bill de Blasio and San Francisco mayor Ed Lee made a friendly little wager: The mayor whose team lost not only had to send some choice foodstuffs to the winner (in de Blasio's case, he had to ship out some rainbow bagels), but they also had to wear Willie Mays' jersey from the opposing team.
On Monday, de Blasio made good on his bet -- though he thought he had found a loophole by donning a New York Giants jersey. Unfortunately, it was decided that he had to follow through in the spirit of the agreement and so switched it out for the San Francisco version.
