Addison Russell departed Sunday's 2-0 win over the Mets with a bruised left middle finger, suffered on a swing in the fifth inning. Javier Báez replaced him to start the sixth.
With two outs in the sixth, Kevin Plawecki's grounder deep in the hole evaded Baez for the Mets' first hit off Cubs starter Jon Lester.
