Adolis García, Luka Dončić swap jerseys before Mavericks game

Two legends in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex swapped jerseys before Tuesday's Mavericks-Rockets game in Dallas.

The Rangers' Adolis García -- fresh off his 2023 ALCS MVP and legendary postseason run for the World Series-champion Rangers -- exchanged his jersey with the Mavericks' four-time All-Star Luka Dončić.

García just had one of the best postseasons in baseball history, setting a playoff record with 22 RBI while posting an astounding .323/.382/.726 line with eight home runs in 15 games.

Despite missing the final two games of the World Series due to injury, García's LCS performance against the state and division-rival Astros and walk-off home run against the D-backs in Game 1 of the World Series helped secure the Rangers' first title in franchise history.

At 24 years old, Dončić is already one of the most decorated Dallas-Fort Worth athletes and recognizable NBA players. Through his first six seasons, Dončić has made four All-Star teams, won the 2018-19 Rookie of the Year Award and finished top-10 in MVP voting four times.

Much like García was on hand to support Dončić's Mavericks, the same can be said for Dončić during the Rangers' title run. Both Dončić and Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki were in attendance for Game 2 of the World Series in Arlington. Throughout the playoff run, Dončić was posting on social media with his support for the Rangers.
