TORONTO -- The Marlins are promoting their No. 3 prospect Aiva Arquette to Double-A Pensacola, a source told MLB.com.
The club did not confirm the news.
Arquette, who also ranks as MLB Pipeline's No. 35 overall prospect, had a slash line of .276/.333/.517 with four doubles, two triples, two homers, 14 RBIs, five steals, four walks and 17 strikeouts in 14 contests for High-A Beloit.
The 22-year-old shortstop, who began the season on the injured list due to core muscle surgery, returned on April 28 but played in just two games before being sidelined by right wrist soreness. Since coming back on May 6, Arquette had collected hits in 10 of 12 games, with three multihit and multi-RBI performances.
The Marlins have been aggressive with Arquette, whom they selected seventh overall in the 2025 MLB Draft, by sending him to the High-A level to begin his professional career.
