DENVER -- Marlins No. 3 prospect Aiva Arquette will miss around six weeks after injuring his left thumb, sources told MLB.com.

Arquette, who ranks as MLB Pipeline’s No. 42 overall prospect, was placed on the Minor League seven-day injured list on Tuesday. He last played for Double-A Pensacola on Friday, when he homered and stole a base.

The seventh overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft has sustained several injuries during his first full professional season. Arquette didn’t make his 2026 debut until April 28 because of offseason core muscle surgery, then dealt with right wrist soreness a few days later at High-A Beloit.

The 22-year-old Arquette has hit .240/.297/.462 with seven doubles, two triples, nine homers, 36 RBIs and 12 steals in 41 games between Beloit and Pensacola. While Arquette’s slash line has dipped (.221/.279/.434 vs. .276/.333/.517) since his promotion to a higher level, his power numbers have increased (seven homers).
