Angels acquire pitcher Adams from Indians

The Angels acquired right-hander Austin Adams from the Indians on Friday in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
In addition, the Angels designated right-hander Deolis Guerra for assignment.
The 30-year-old Adams pitched in 19 games for Cleveland last season, all in relief, with a 9.82 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 18 1/3 innings. He also had eight saves and a 4.54 ERA in 34 relief appearances for the Indians' Triple-A affiliate.
Guerra was taken by the Angels in the 2015 Rule 5 Draft, coming to Anaheim from Pittsburgh, and pitched in 44 games in relief for the Angels last season. The 27-year-old posted a 3.21 ERA in 53 1/3 innings and struck out 36.
