Pujols passes Palmeiro with homer No. 570

ANAHEIM -- Angels designated hitter Albert Pujols made his latest mark in Major League history Friday night, launching the 570th home run of his career in the six-run third inning of the Angels' 7-2 win vs. the Astros at Angel Stadium.
Pujols hit a 92-mph fastball from Astros right-hander Mike Fiers 411 feet into the rock formation in center field. The two-run homer moved him ahead of Rafael Palmeiro and into sole possession of 12th place on the all-time home run list.

The 36-year-old slugger is three home runs behind 11th-place Harmon Killibrew, who hit 573. Former Oakland Athletics and St. Louis Cardinals slugger Mark McGwire sits at 10th with 583 career home runs, followed by Frank Robinson with 586.
