Angels Minor Leaguer Lamb suspended

Major League Baseball suspended Angels Minor League left-hander John Lamb for 50 games on Tuesday following a second positive test for a drug of abuse in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Once a top prospect with the Royals, Lamb was one of three players, along with Brandon Finnegan and Cody Reed, who were traded to the Reds for Johnny Cueto in 2015. Lamb was ranked as the No. 34 overall prospect by MLBPipeline.com in 2011.
Lamb was yet to pitch for Triple-A Salt Lake this season, but he did make 14 starts with the Reds last year, going 1-7 with a 6.43 ERA.
