Under-the-radar prospects to watch in the Arizona Fall League

The Arizona Fall League is one of my favorite parts of the baseball calendar, so I can't wait for the 34th season to begin on Oct. 3. As usual, the developmental circuit features several Top 100 prospects, including Dodgers outfielder Eduardo Quintero, Tigers outfielder Zyhir Hope and White Sox third baseman/outfielder Caleb Bonemer.

The Fall League has sent more than 3,000 players to the Majors, and many of them weren't highly touted when they arrived in Arizona. Sam Antonacci, Jake Bennett and Esmerlyn Valdez were relatively anonymous before starring in Arizona last year and thriving as big league rookies this season. Owen Ayers was a 24-year-old catcher who hadn't played above Single-A, then won AFL Breakout Player of the Year accolades last fall and became a Top 100 prospect this season.

Who are some under-the-radar prospects worth watching in this year's edition of the Fall League? I have a whole team for you:

Boston Smith, C (Peoria/Mariners)
Got traded twice and slashed .274/.424/.566 with 31 homers in his first full year as a pro.

Myles Bailey, 1B (Mesa/Cubs)
Featured the most raw power and best exit velocities in the 2026 Draft, coming back from broken ankle.

Luke Hill, 2B (Surprise/Guardians)
Known for his plate discipline and bat-to-ball skills in college at Mississippi, showed improved pop in his first full pro season.

Chase Harlan, 3B (Glendale/Dodgers)
Rising up the list of the game's best hot-corner prospects, translated plus-plus raw power into 14 homers in 86 games this season.

Wyatt Sanford, SS (Glendale/Pirates)
Quality defender improved from a .760 OPS with five homers in 64 games during his first year as a pro to a .963 OPS and 19 blasts in 77 games in his second.

Dakota Jordan, OF (Scottsdale/Giants)
Features the best all-around tools in the Fall League, beginning with double-plus raw power and speed.

Braylon Payne, OF (Scottsdale/Brewers)
His tools rival Jordan's, and he may have the best combination of exit velocities and speed in the Minors.

Zion Rose, OF (Surprise/Royals)
The sixth overall pick in the 2026 Draft offers hitting ability, raw power and athleticism.

Breyson Guedez, DH (Mesa/Athletics)
More advanced at the plate than most teenagers, smoked a 425-foot home run during Spring Breakout.

Briggs McKenzie, LHP (Glendale/Braves)
Prime breakout candidate for 2027 gets tremendous spin and sweep on his slider.

Patrick Forbes, RHP (Salt River/Diamondbacks)
Dominated when healthy in his pro debut but missed three months with elbow and flexor issues.

Sam Horn, RP (Glendale/Dodgers)
Former Missouri quarterback flashed first-round stuff in college, also endured Tommy John surgery and broken tibia.
