Source: Astros' Giles wins arbitration case

Closer Ken Giles has won his arbitration case against the Astros, a source confirmed to MLB.com's Brian McTaggart on Saturday afternoon. The right-hander will earn the $4.6 million he requested, which is slightly higher than the $4.2 million offer Houston suggested. The club hasn't confirmed the news.
Giles registered a 2.30 ERA with 83 strikeouts and 34 saves in 62 2/3 regular-season innings in 2017.
The 27-year-old remained one of the key cogs in Houston's bullpen en route to its first World Series title, but he posted an 11.74 ERA across 7 2/3 innings during the Astros' postseason run.
World Series Most Valuable Player Award winner George Springer and righty Collin McHugh are still awaiting agreements on their respective arbitration cases.
