Pipeline Preview: Munoz looks to stay hot for Midland

Here's a look at top prospects to watch in today's Minor League action:
Hitter to watch:Yairo Muñoz (A's No. 10), Midland at San Antonio (8:05 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Munoz connected on his sixth home run on Wednesday, hitting a solo shot in Double-A Midland's loss against Frisco. While an injury delayed the start of Munoz's season until early May, the 22-year-old infielder has made up for much of that lost time by hitting .308/.338/.552 with 24 extra-base hits and 11 steals in 45 games.

Pitcher to watch: Chance Adams (Yankees' No. 7), Scranton/Wilkes-Barre vs. Pawtucket (7:05 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV))
Adams, baseball's No. 96 overall prospect, enters the day with a 1.78 ERA in 75 2/3 innings. The 22-year-old right-hander was promoted to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after six fantastic starts with Double-A Trenton (1.03 ERA in 35 innings) and has not allowed more than three earned runs in a start this season.

Duel of the day: Zack Littell (Yankees' No. 20) vs. Jordan Romano (Blue Jays' No. 22), Tampa vs. Dunedin (7 p.m. ET)
Littell recorded a season-high 10 strikeouts while allowing one unearned run on two hits and three walks in seven innings in a spot start for Double-A Trenton last week. The 21-year-old righty now returns to Class A Advanced Tampa, where he's gone 8-1 with a 1.76 ERA that ranks first among active pitchers in the Florida State League.

Romano, 24, has been dominant in his last four starts for Dunedin, posting a 1.96 ERA with 26 strikeouts in 23 innings. He's held hitters to a .195 average in that span while issuing five walks. Overall, Romano has pitched to a 2.28 ERA with 71 strikeouts and zero home runs allowed in 71 innings (14 appearances/12 starts).
