The Oakland A's have traded Arnold Leon to the Blue Jays in exchange for cash considerations, the team announced Tuesday.
Leon, 27, was designated for assignment on Dec. 28 when the A's needed to make room on the roster for pitcher Henderson Alvarez.

The right-hander appeared in 19 games for the A's last season and posted a 4.39 ERA across 26 2/3 innings.
Although Leon had six stints with the Major League club in 2015, he spent the bulk of the season with Triple-A Nashville, where he went 2-5 with a 2.95 ERA and one save in 58 innings.
