"I was just trying to slow the game down," Dean told MiLB.com. "Yesterday, I was rushing to the plate a lot so the coaches and manager (Dave Berg) just told me to slow it down and let the game come to me."
Dean hit five homers a year ago and had just one blast through the first 30 games of the 2016 campaign. Tuesday's effort was the outfielder's first career-multi homer game and the five RBIs tied his career-high, which he originally set on June 28, 2014.
Dean, a fourth-round selection in the 2012 draft, is hitting .293 with 27 RBIs and three homers in his first taste of the Double-A level.
