CHICAGO -- Avisaíl García left Monday's game at Guaranteed Rate Field against Seattle in the second inning after coming up lame while running to first base on a grounder to third.
The White Sox right fielder, who singled in the first off of Mike Leake among the team's seven consecutive hits, suffered a right leg injury about three-quarters of the way down the first-base line and then fell to the ground after getting past first. Trayce Thompson replaced Garcia in the top of the third with the White Sox leading, 7-0. Chicago went on to win, 10-4.
He was diagnosed with a right hamstring strain, and will be re-evaluated Tuesday.
