When do workouts start? Here's everything to know for Braves Spring Training
ATLANTA -- The Braves will open camp next week, and they are just seven weeks away from Opening Day. Here are answers to some of the questions you might have about Spring Training:
When is the first workout for pitchers and catchers?
Tuesday
What is the date of the first full-squad workout?
Feb. 15, but you can expect to see many of the Braves’ position players working out on some of the fields while pitchers and catchers go through their workouts next week. Getting to camp early creates more opportunities to golf and enjoy the resort-like amenities the Spring Training facility offers.
Where is the team’s facility?
North Port, Fla. The Braves’ complex is located in Wellen Park, a thriving community filled with residences, restaurants, retail outlets and a golf course. The area has prospered and grown since the Braves’ arrival ahead of the 2020 season.
Can fans attend workouts?
Fans will have access to the back fields beginning Feb. 15 at 9 a.m. ET. Entry will be granted through Gate 3 or the Green Gate before games begin. The Green Gate will be the only entry point for the back fields on the days the Braves are playing a Grapefruit League game on the main field at CoolToday Park.
Who are some new faces fans should know?
This year’s workouts and games will give fans a chance to get to know reliever Robert Suarez, utilitymen Mauricio Dubón and Jorge Mateo, and outfielder Mike Yastrzemski -- four key offseason additions. Dubón is expected to serve as shortstop while Ha-Seong Kim remains sidelined through at least mid-May recovering from a torn tendon in his right middle finger.

Who are some of the top prospects invited to Major League camp?
Fans got a glimpse of right-hander JR Ritchie (No. 2 Braves prospect, No. 90 overall) during last year’s Spring Breakout game and then watched the impressive pitcher thrive throughout the Minor League season. He is expected to be a non-roster invitee. The star of last year’s Spring Breakout game was Didier Fuentes (No. 7 Braves prospect). Fuentes might have been rushed to the Majors too early last season. But as the young right-hander attends his first big league camp, he’ll get a chance to better prepare for what might await him this year.
Some other prospects who might draw interest within big league camp are RHP Garrett Baumann (Braves' No. 6), RHP Owen Murphy (No. 8), SS John Gil (No. 13) and RHP Jhancarlos Lara (No. 21).
