LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Dansby Swanson got his bat going with a three-hit game and Matt Kemp recorded two of the extra-base hits that soured Daniel Norris' frustrating outing as the Braves claimed an 11-3 win over the Tigers on Monday night at ESPN's Wide World of Sports complex.
Kemp, Adonis García and Tyler Flowers doubled during a two-run second inning that began the troubles for Norris, who allowed 13 hits and nine earned runs over three-plus innings. The Tigers left-hander retired just six of the final 20 batters faced and exited after surrendering four straight hits to open the bottom of the fourth.

"I'm excited to come out and throw and then ... quite frankly, it's embarrassing," said Norris, who chalked up his struggles to a dead arm. "You're walking off the mound and people are cheering, 'Finally, this dude's out of there.' That's just embarrassing. I love this game more than anything and I go out there and embarrass myself. That's frustrating."

Swanson recorded a pair of doubles, including one that fueled Atlanta's four-run third and also snapped his 0-for-14 skid since returning from a two-week absence caused by strained muscle in his right side. The Braves shortstop added a leadoff single in the fourth, during which he scored on a Kemp triple that was awarded after his sinking liner eluded Mikie Mahtook in left field.

"You could see Dansby's timing was coming back the past couple days," Braves manager Brian Snitker said. "He had some good at-bats tonight, a lot of our guys did."
Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz closed his impressive Grapefruit League season in effective fashion, allowing three runs and nine hits over 5 2/3 innings.
