Updated Braves' Top 30 Prospects list features new No. 1

ATLANTA -- The Braves have produced two of the past four National League Rookies of the Year and they now possess three of MLB’s top 60 prospects .
Eric Hartman, one of baseball’s hottest prospects, now sits atop the Braves’ Top 30 prospects list that was updated Thursday night. Joining Hartman on this list are seven players who were selected during the 2026 MLB Draft last month.
Here’s a look at the Braves’ top prospects:

- Tate Southisene, SS/2B (MLB rank No. 60)

Biggest jump/fall
Here are the players whose ranks changed the most from the preseason list:
Jump: Eric Hartman, OF (Preseason: 20 | Midseason: 1) – Hartman captured the baseball world’s attention when he hit 24 homers, stole 38 bases and produced an .889 OPS over 94 games for High-A Rome this year. The 20-year-old was recently promoted to Double-A. The 20th-round selection from the 2024 Draft constructed a pedestrian .718 OPS at Single-A Augusta in 2025.
Fall: Garrett Baumann, POS (Preseason: 12 | Midseason: 24) – The 6-foot-8 right-hander posted a 5.40 ERA over 11 starts at the Double-A level. Baumann was promoted to Triple-A, where he posted a 10.48 ERA (8.62 FIP) over seven starts before being sent back to Double-A. The combination of his 21.7 percent strikeout and 10.8 percent walk rate has lowered expectations.
