Brenton Doyle had a huge game in a rehab performance on Tuesday.
Doyle, who has been on the Rockies injured list since May 21 with a left oblique contusion and left groin tightness, went 3-for-6 with a double and two runs scored with Triple-A Albuquerque.
The 28-year-old Doyle had a .549 OPS in 43 games before he was placed on the injured list. He had a .650 OPS with 15 home runs in 138 games last season.
There is no definitive timetable for Doyle’s return, although there’s certainly optimism given his big night and the fact that he played all nine innings for the Isotopes.
