Made for the moment: Brewers' No. 1 prospect launches his second career postseason homer

Jesús Made seems to have saved some of his best baseball for the postseason.
MLB’s No. 1 prospect homered on a 2-for-4 day as Double-A Biloxi swept into the Southern League Championship Series with an 8-3 victory over Pensacola on Thursday at Keesler Federal Park. Made’s roundtripper was his second pro playoff homer at the Double-A level.
The Brewers' top prospect made his presence felt immediately during Game 2 of the best-of-3 semifinals. Batting left-handed with a runner on and one away in the bottom of the first inning, Made squared off against right-hander Eliazar Dishmey (MIA No. 30). Down in the count, 0-1, Made got a fastball over the heart of the plate and didn’t miss it -- the 19-year-old laced the 95 mph fastball 378 feet over the wall in left-center.
"What really allows him to separate himself is his discipline and preparation on a daily basis," Biloxi hitting coach Kevin Martir told MLB.com in July. "He comes in every day, gets his activation in, he's consistent with his routine, he's constantly challenging himself with his training. There's a reason he's only 19 and playing at this level."
Equipped with 60-grade power, the switch-hitter showcased plenty of pop against right-handers during the regular season. He mashed 11 homers and collected 41 extra-base hits in 411 at-bats against righties.
Made was one one of MiLB's best young run producers all season long. Among all qualified teenage Minor League hitters in 2026, his 91 RBIs ranked fourth.
And following his dinger, Made’s night was far from finished. He drew a five-pitch walk in the fifth, and then flashed his 60-grade hit tool by stepping in right-handed and grounding a single to left to lead off the seventh against southpaw Jack Sellinger.
His 2-for-4 night was Made's second postseason multihit game in four contests -- his first was Sept. 18, 2025, the same night as his first career playoff homer. During the 2026 regular season, MLB’s No. 1 shortstop prospect delivered 36 multihit performances.

Made wasn’t the only Shucker to shine in the victory either, as Braylon Payne (MIL No. 6) also delivered some offensive fireworks. In the second inning, the 20-year-old swatted a two-run homer that left his bat at 117 mph, per the ballpark's TrackMan device.
Payne's 28 regular-season homers ranked third in the Brewers' system this season. The 2024 first-rounder was one of two players in the Minor Leagues 20 years old or younger with 25+ home runs and 25+ stolen bases in 2026. The other was top Braves prospect Eric Hartman (MLB No. 41).
