PHILADELPHIA -- Bryce Harper left Saturday night’s game in the middle of the first inning because of a migraine.

Rookie Felix Reyes pinch-hit for Harper in the bottom of the first against Colorado at Citizens Bank Park.

Harper has had migraines before. He was scratched from the Phillies’ lineup before a game against the Mets in May 2024 because of one. Former Phillies manager Rob Thomson said at the time that Harper had dealt with the issue prior to that.

This is the third time this season that a Phillies player has suffered a migraine. Andrew Painter could not make his scheduled start on April 12 against Arizona because of one, though he eventually felt better and entered the game in the third inning to pitch five innings.

Justin Crawford was scratched from a May 2 game in Miami because of a migraine.

Painter and Crawford, like Harper, have a history of migraines.
