Benge exits with wrist soreness after incredible catch at wall in LF

PITTSBURGH -- Mets rookie Carson Benge left with left wrist soreness in the bottom of the fourth inning of New York's 6-4 victory over the Pirates on Friday night at PNC Park.
Benge had crashed into the wall in the left-field corner making an outstanding catch on a fly ball hit by Ronny Simon an inning earlier.
Cristian Pache replaced Benge with the Mets leading, 6-0. Benge was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a stolen base before his exit.
In 112 games this season, the 23-year-old Benge is hitting .270 with 13 home runs and 18 stolen bases.
