It might not take much longer for Charlie Condon to make his way to the Rockies, considering he has been one of the hottest hitters in the sport for quite some time now.

Condon, Colorado’s No. 2 prospect and MLB Pipeline’s No. 65 overall, went deep again on Tuesday after a two-homer performance on Monday. The 23-year-old first baseman/outfielder went 3-for-5 overall for Triple-A Albuquerque in a 9-8 loss to Round Rock at Dell Diamond.

Condon led off the second inning with a single, scoring on a Jordan Beck homer. He then hit his own long ball in the third, a solo shot that was hit at 97.8 mph and a projected 400 feet. Condon smacked a first-pitch cutter for his 18th big fly of the year and his 10th in June.

Condon also doubled in the fifth inning. That gave him consecutive games with three hits and eight straight games with at least one hit. He scored again on a Vimael Machín single, giving Albuquerque a 6-2 lead. But Round Rock scored three in the fifth and four in the eighth to eventually secure the win.

In June, Condon slashed .337/.462/.814 with 17 extra-base hits, 10 homers and 31 RBIs. The third overall pick in 2024 now has an impressive .994 OPS on the year, and he'll hope July is just as good to him as the previous month was.
