Owings, Cron lead D-backs' offense against A's

MESA, Ariz. -- Chris Owings collected two hits, including a triple, and Jeremy Hazelbaker hit a go-ahead, two-run single to lead the D-backs to a 10-6 victory over the A's at Hohokam Stadium on Monday night.
Kevin Cron hit a two-run homer in the seventh, then added an RBI single during the D-backs' five-run, eighth-inning rally. Sergio Alcantara padded the lead with a two-run single in the ninth.
A's starter Sean Manaea, who is readying to begin the season as the team's No. 2 starter, held Arizona to one unearned run over five innings, lowering his Cactus League ERA to 2.81. Manaea struck out five and allowed just three hits.
"Everything pitch-wise felt good," Manaea said. "I'm just refining everything, making sure arm speed and grips and everything like that are good to go. I was really happy with everything."
D-backs right-hander Taijuan Walker pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing four earned runs on six hits, including two to first baseman Ryon Healy, and walked one with four strikeouts.
"Fastball command just wasn't there today," Walker said. "It was one of those days. I'm glad it's happening in Spring Training. I'll bounce back next time, and work on fastball command. I think that's the biggest thing. If I can establish fastball command early in games, hopefully everything else will work off that."
A's left fielder Khris Davis notched a two-run double in the first, and designated hitter Stephen Vogt doubled in the sixth, scoring on outfielder Rajai Davis' two-out infield single.
