BOSTON -- Initial X-rays were negative on the left wrist of Dodgers infielder Chris Taylor, who came out of Sunday’s 7-4 win over the Red Sox one inning after being hit by a pitch.

“I’m hoping it’s just a bad bone bruise,” Taylor said. “It’s just stiff.”

However, he said the joint was very sore when it turns and would be monitored overnight, while manager Dave Roberts didn’t rule out a roster move before Monday night’s series opener in Philadelphia.

“For Chris to come out of a game, you know it had to be hurting him,” said Roberts, who was forced to lose the designated hitter to cover for Taylor’s removal. “He’s still in a lot of pain.”

Taylor was hit by a 92.4-mph fastball from Heath Hembree.
