Taylor sits again with hamstring injury

NEW YORK -- Shortstop Chris Taylor missed a second consecutive game on Saturday and won't start on Sunday, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said, but a disabled list stint is not expected to be necessary for a tight left hamstring.
Taylor was injured in Wednesday's game at Wrigley Field. He left that game early and was expected to return to the lineup after Thursday's scheduled day off, but he said it really didn't loosen up until Saturday.
"It's a day-to-day thing," said Roberts. "He tested it a little today. Tomorrow I expect to not have him in the lineup. As far as DL, right now I think we're OK with not having to make that decision."
Kiké Hernández started at shortstop.
Worth noting
• With Clayton Kershaw being reinstated from the DL on Saturday, left-handed reliever Adam Liberatore was optioned back to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Lefty Scott Alexander pitched two innings of relief Friday night, but the Dodgers still had lefty Edward Paredes available Saturday night, in addition to Caleb Ferguson, who was on standby to take over for Kershaw.
• Walker Buehler was not ready to throw a scheduled bullpen session which was tentatively pushed back to Sunday. Buehler has been out with a microfracture of a rib. He was able to throw to a catcher on flat ground.

"Still a little sore with the ribs when he plays catch," Roberts said of Buehler. "Not putting tomorrow off the table, but obviously didn't happen today. Walker is day to day to get him off the mound. Once we check that box, he'll ramp up."
Buehler made three starts before the injury was diagnosed. It was caused by a 108 mph line drive that drilled him on May 21, but he wasn't placed on the disabled list until he had to be removed from a June 8 start with pain and difficulty breathing.
• Hyun Jin Ryu, who had a setback during last Sunday's bullpen session, hasn't thrown off a mound since and Roberts said he didn't know when he would.

"Not for a while," said Roberts. "I don't know what a while is, but from what I understand, he's back to throwing flat-ground catch."
• Bryan Warzek, a left-handed pitcher for the University of New Orleans and the club's sixth-round pick, signed for $202,500 (the pick No. 194 value was $233,800), according to Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline.
