Corey Seager Hosts Annual Back-to-School Shopping Spree Benefitting Arlington ISD Students

On the morning of Saturday, August 8, Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager and his wife, Mady, hosted their annual back-to-school shopping spree benefiting local families served by Arlington ISD Student Outreach Services. Now in its fourth consecutive year, the event reflects the Seagers' ongoing commitment to helping students in the Arlington community start the school year with confidence.

In partnership with the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, the Seagers welcomed more than 30 students and their families to Academy Sports + Outdoors in Arlington. Each student received $400 to spend on back-to-school necessities, along with an additional $100 to help cover other school-related expenses.

Families shopped for shoes, clothing, sporting equipment, school supplies, and other essentials, ensuring students are well prepared for a successful start to the new school year.

Fellow Rangers Josh Jung and Cal Quantrill also participated in the event, assisting families as they selected items tailored to their individual needs.

“This event is one of our favorites,” said Seager, whose dedication to supporting the Dallas-Fort Worth community earned him the Rangers’ nomination for the 2025 Roberto Clemente Award. “We get to hear the kids’ stories and see how excited they are about going back to school. It’s really fun for us.”
