Crew-Cubs first pitch being delayed by rain

CHICAGO -- Rain delayed the start of Wednesday afternoon's series finale between the Cubs and Brewers at Wrigley Field, and Eric Thames' chance to revive his home run streak. The first pitch is now expected to take place at approximately 2:15 p.m. CT.
Thames had homered in five straight games before Tuesday, when he still collected three hits, including two doubles. It wasn't enough as the Brewers lost, 9-7, to even the series at one win apiece.
Chicago's Kyle Hendricks (1-1, 5.73 ERA), who led the Major Leagues with a 2.13 ERA last year, was scheduled to start Wednesday against lefty Tommy Milone (1-0, 7.36 ERA).
